![]() I've never had to print from a VM but when using USB devices you'll probably also want the latest extension pack. ![]() Assuming you're using the latest virtual box and reinstalled the latest guest additions the only thing I'd say is to confirm that when the VM is running under the devices menu that both shared clipboard and drag'n'drop are both set to bidirectional. I don't have any windows VMs to tinker with at the moment so I'm not entirely sure what could be the issue there. I've recently used it without issue in a development Ubuntu 13.10 machine and others. I know I've had issues in the past with the bidirectional clip board but that was many many versions ago and those VMs are long since gone. Thanks to all of you in advance for any insight or solution. Should I go ahead and assume this feature is pretty much vaporware? Am I missing anything? Googling this is an avalanche of similar issues. But these features have never once worked for me, ever. So I know the issue isn't the printer or my OS, it's definitely virtualbox. I ended up having to install java on my main OS and everything works. I installed java without issue on the guest OS but couldn't install my print drivers because it won't see my printer, either through wifi or USB. ![]() Shared folders, however, do work fine.Īlso, I would like to install Java and use it to scan checks with my printer and make deposits via my banking website. They are installed and up to date, I can see the features supposedly enabled in the machine menu. Drag and drop and clipboard do not work, have never worked on any virtual machine I've tried, ever. I have two issues: devices and guest additions. I'm trying to run Win 7 home premium inside my host of Win 7 Pro.
